Aurel Percă

Aurel Perca ( born August 15, 1951 in Săbăoani, Neamţ county, Moldavia, Romania) is Auxiliary Bishop of Iasi in Romania.

Life

Aurel Perca received on June 29, 1979 in Iaşi ordination. In 1980 he was sent to study in Rome; He studied and received his doctorate in theology at the Pontifical Oriental Institute Oriental PIO and moral theology at the Accademia Alfonsiana. In 1985 he returned to the homeland was appointed in Iasi for Cancellarius in the Ordinariate, he became professor of moral theology and patristics at the Theological Institute of the Roman Catholic " Saint Joseph " university. Between 1989 and 1994 he was rector of the seminary of Iaşi.

On September 29, 1999, he was appointed by Pope John Paul II, titular bishop of Mauriana and appointed Auxiliary Bishop in the Diocese of Iaşi. The episcopal ordination on 8 December 1999 donated him Bishop Petru Gherghel ( principal consecrator ) and Archbishop Jean -Claude Périsset, the Apostolic Nuncio to Romania and the Archbishop of Bucharest, Ioan Robu.

He is a member of the Romanian Bishops' Conference.
