Ausente is the second feature film of Argentinean director Marco Berger from the year 2011.

Action

The 16 -year-old Martin is in the midst of puberty. He wants to live out his homoerotic feelings and this finds its swimming instructor Sebastián. Among all sorts of pretexts, and deceptions he achieved that he can stay with him. Sebastian sees through the game finally and now is confronted with his own feelings and desires.

Awards

• Teddy Award 2011 as the best feature film with gay and lesbian and transgender background, at the 61st Berlinale.

• 2012 Ausente for the prestigious Argentinean Film Award Cóndor de Plata has been nominated in two categories. He won a Cóndor for the representation of the male lead of Javier de Pietro.
