Austin Watson

Austin Watson ( born January 13, 1992, Ann Arbor, Michigan ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since March 2011 the Nashville Predators under contract since January 2012 for the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League on the position of the right winger plays.

Career

After his time in the youth at the Detroit Compuware Ambassadors Watson was in the OHL Priority Selection 2008 selected in 36 out of the Windsor Spitfires. In his first year in the Ontario Hockey League, he won the J. Ross Robertson Cup the Spitfires and eventually the Memorial Cup. The 2009/10 season he began again in Windsor, before he moved to the Peterborough Petes in January 2010. In 2010 he took part for the team at the CHL Top Prospects Game Cherry and was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2010 to 18 out of the Nashville Predators. In the season 2010/11 Watson denied first 68 games for the Petes in the OHL, before the farm team of the Predators, which was Milwaukee Admirals appointed, for which he completed eight games in the American Hockey League in the spring of 2011. For the season 2011/12 Watson initially returned to the Peterborough Petes in the Ontario Hockey League, before transferred him this during the season within the league to the London Knights.

Internationally

For the U.S., Watson participated in the Ice Hockey World Championship U18 Juniors in 2010, where she won with his team the gold medal.
