Autodesk Animator

Autodesk Animator is a 2D animation and graphics program which has been released in 1989 by Autodesk for MS- DOS PCs.

This generated animations in the *. FLC and *. FLI were quite common until the early 90s. Even Games manufacturers created so short intro or intermediate sequences identified by the file extension.

The animations consist of several individual images, comparable to Animated GIF. Playable were the files with a (free ) player for the DOS command line. This was followed by an extended version called Animator Pro and 1995 a version for Windows 3.1/95, which could also output video in AVI format. Autodesk discontinued the product.
