UC4 Software is an international software company that specializes in enterprise job scheduling and workload automation. The company is developing in this area -specific solutions and products that usually come in larger businesses to use. For example, so that the tasks for the current billing by utilities automated, automated background and payment processes in online retail, or IT housekeeping and backup orchestrated processes. History

Was founded in 1985 in Austria and UC4 presented in 1996 the first heterogeneous Job Scheduler before. After the opening of offices in Europe and the United States was 2006, the Carlyle Group, the majority shareholder in UC4. 2007 merged with UC4 AppWorxCorp and built their Large Enterprise Scheduler.

In 2009, UC4 Software took over the Vienna-based SENACTIVE. The processing complex business events and patterns mapping and advanced visualization tools were used and combined with the functionality of workload automation, UC4 SENACTIVE. UC4 Workload Automation and specialized in job scheduling.

On August 13, 2012 UC4 announced the acquisition by EQT, a private equity group in Northern Europe, is known. Subject to the regulatory approval, EQT will probably buy the outstanding shares of the Carlyle Group in the fourth quarter of 2012.

UC4 serves approximately 2,050 customers worldwide, including Allianz, German Post, the Munich club insurance group, Skoda, TUI and Suzuki. Among the partnerships the company include claims to SAP, IBM, Oracle, Microsoft and HP.

Strategies and products

On 15 March 2011 launched the UC4 ONE Automation strategy, the six areas of automation combines: Run Book Automation, Application Process Automation, Job Scheduling / Workload Automation, Managed File Transfer (MFT ), Release and Application Virtualization Management. Its main products include:

  • UC4 Automation Engine for Business Automation, IT Automation, Cloud Automation and Context -Aware Automation
  • UC4 Insight for analysis and error detection
  • UC4 Decision to detect events and to monitor processes
  • UC4 Service Level Governor to manage and monitor SLAs
