Aux Raus

Aux Raus is a Dutch musical duo. It was founded in Amsterdam in 2004 by two art students Bastiaan Bosma and Luuk Bouwman. Their music can be described as a kind of hardcore punk with techno beats. Also, the term " Gabber Punk" is often used. The live shows of Aux Raus often end up with a naked front man.

Career

Bosma singer and guitarist Bouwman both studied at the Art Academy St. Joost in Breda.

During a stay in Mexico originated in the recording studio of Carlos Amorales, then head of the label Nuevos Ricos, shooting for a first album. This was followed by two tours through the country.

In January 2007, the band performed at the Noorderslag music festival in Groningen. This was followed in the same year performances at the festival Lowlands and in the club 3voor12 the Dutch broadcaster VPRO. In October 2007, the duo played at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York.

Beginning of 2007, published at Amsterdam Aux Raus Fear Recordings label their debut album This Is How This Works. But they were in 2007 awarded the prestigious 3voor12 Award for best Dutch album. In early 2008 they were winners of the Dutch Essent Award.
