Avully
Avully is a municipality in the canton of Geneva in Switzerland. To the community includes the settlements Avully -Village, Epeisses, Eaumorte and Gennecy.
History
1220 the village was mentioned as Avulie. The village belonged to the House of Savoy from 1402 to 1604 with an interruption by the Bernese rule from 1536 to 1567. The King Henry IV gave Avully 1604, Geneva, but the Burgundian Parliament refused. Thus, the village remained dependent until the Treaty of Paris in 1749, before it got to Geneva.
