Axigen
AXIGEN is a commercial mail server with groupware extensions. He offers SMTP / ESMTP, IMAP, POP3, webmail, and mailing lists. AXIGEN is an alternative to Microsoft Exchange.
Function
AXIGEN Mail Server sees itself as covering the requirements of SMEs through to the ISP use. AXIGEN does not require additional software and is provided in a complete package with wizard- driven installation.
AXIGEN offers multi-lingual Ajax Webmail interface. The groupware and organizer functions (calendar, tasks, notes and journal ) are available both via the webmail interface or via a special Outlook Connector. For mobile devices, a special web interface is offered by the XHTML standard. In addition, the ActiveSync interface licensed from Microsoft to enable push e -mail.

Background
The development of the AXIGEN Mail Server started in 2003. The first version was published in 2005. Since 2006, the product is also available in Germany. According to Gecad the product is used in more than 10,000 companies with 6 million mailboxes.
