Azufral

Azufral or Azufral de Tuquerres is a stratovolcano in the south of the South American country Colombia. The summit of the volcano consists of a caldera with a diameter of 2.5 km x 3 km and a rhyodacitic lava dome complex. On the northwest side of the caldera lies the Laguna Verde. About a dozen lava domes are located in the caldera, which formed the last years before about 3600. There are some areas with fumaroles. There are no reliable scientific data on eruptions of the volcano.
