Babar (TV series)

Babar the elephant king ( original title: Babar ) is a French-Canadian animated series. It was produced from 1989 to 1994 in France and Canada from the studios ellipse programs and Nelvana Limited, directed by Peter Hudecki, Raymond Jafelice, Laura Shepherd, Dale Schott and Larry Jacobs. The scripts were by David Finley, J. D. Smith, Mary Crawford, Alan Templeton, Peter Sauder, Steven Dewar, Elaine Waisglass and Alex Boon and Jean and Laurent de Brunhoff wrote. The theme song was composed and sung by Milan Kymlicka. The German premiere was on 13 November 1990 to ARD. There were 6 seasons with 13 episodes produced. However, only the first 5 seasons were broadcast in Germany. The story is based on the children's books about Babar by Jean de Brunhoff and Laurent. A characteristic of this series is that it graphically oriented very close to the original illustrations of the books.

In the years 2010 to 2011 was with Babar and the Adventures of Badou a sequel.

Action

Babar is a little elephant who lives in a herd of elephants in the jungle with his mother. One day, his mother is shot by a hunter and Babar is forced to flee. In search of his flock he runs and comes to his quest eventually into a city. Here he meets an elderly lady who welcomes him and shows him the human civilization. She teaches him to read, write and count and educates him an elephant formed. Finally, Babar returns to the jungle, where he reunited with his childhood friend Celeste and marries. He pacified the old conflict with the rhinos to King Rataxes and is crowned by the elephant as the new king. With Celeste, he founded a city elephants, which he calls Celesteville.
