Babice (Hradec Králové District)
Babice ( German Babitz, even large Babitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located ten kilometers north east of Chlumec nad Cidlinou and belongs to Okres Hradec Králové.
Geography
Babice is located on the East Bohemian panel on the right side of the Bystřice on a small tributary.
Neighboring towns are Malé Babice in the north, Boharyně in the northeast, Trnava in the east, in the southeast Roudnice, Kratonohy, Požáry and Obědovice in the south, Kosičky and Kosice in the southwest, Nová Ves in the west and Barchov in the northwest.
History
The first written reference 1363rd owner was at that time the Vladike Matěj Babice, which can be demonstrated to 1375. Seat of the family was a water-resistant, which was located northwest of the village in the direction of place Barchov " Vlčí hrad ". Under Matějs son, the Lords of Babice laid in 1400 its headquarters to Boharyně and sold their goods in Babice. 1414 belonged Babice rata to the priest and the brothers Zdislav of Kratonohy Pesík from Babice. After the village had fallen desolate in the Hussite Wars, the rule Nechanic acquired the hallways. Among the gentlemen of Pernštejna the desert village was slammed in 1541 the reign Chlumec nad Cidlinou. After a re-colonization and Chlumetzer land register of 1571 was Babice was re-listed as a village.
After the abolition of patrimonial Babice formed with the hamlets of Malé Babice and Nová Ves in 1850 a municipality in the district Nechanic. Between 1870 and 1920, the city bore the name Velké Babice. 1881 was the parish Velké Babice of 28 houses and 194 inhabitants had. In the hamlet consisting of 12 houses Malé Babice lived at the same time 69 people. As of 1907, the village belonged to the district of Hradec Kralove. In the 1920s, Malé Babice came as the district to Trnava. From 1949 to 1961, the community was associated with the Okres Nový Bydžov and came back to his resolution to Okres Hradec Králové. 1980 Babice was incorporated into Kosičky. Since 1992, the community is again.
