Babysitting

A Babysitter ( eng. "Children guardian ") is a person who takes care of babies and young children who are not their own children.

Babysitter care of the children by the hour, while the parents are away from home, usually in the evenings and at night, but sometimes during the day. Often there are students engaged in this activity in order to earn some money, but, increasingly, seniors. Often the sitters come also from the family, the immediate family or circle of friends. The length of working hours, the duration of employment and wages are usually verbally agreed. A written employment contract is usually not completed. Babysitting is not a job title. In cities there are agencies that provide babysitting for a fee.

Babysitting diploma

The " babysitter diploma " is a certificate of participation in a babysitting course. It can be completed at the local Family Education Centre (FBS ) or the German Red Cross (DRK ).
