Bachatango

Bachatango is a combination of both music and dance styles bachata and tango.

Dance style

Bachatango developed a native of the Dominican Republic Bachata dance with elements of Argentine tango on. The typical basic structure of the Bachata remains in Bachatango: In four- four time follows either on three steps accented by a pelvic thrust Tap - Tap or opened the four- step sequence.

In the presentation of dance figures, the dancers take in Bachatango on typical elements of the tango. Music direction

The dance steps of Bachatango follow a music that is commonly referred to as Neotango or Tango Nuevo. She became famous in 1985 by the hit record " I've Seen That Face Before" the actress and singer Grace Jones, the classic " Libertango " by Astor Piazzolla Tango interpreted and combined with modern electronic elements. Current representatives are, for example, the groups Gotan Project or Narcotango.

Dissemination

Bachatango is already danced common in Italy. In Germany, the style is still under construction. Some dance schools offer instruction in the dance form.
