Baćina lakes

The Baćina lakes ( croatian Baćinska Jezera ) are located in the south of Croatia. There are several lakes form near the village of Baćina near the town Ploce on the right side of the mouth of the Neretva Delta in the Dubrovnik-Neretva county a seascape.

The lakes cover an area of ​​138 hectares and form the basis of the marine environment, a crypto- depression.

Six of the seven lakes located in a karst area, are interconnected. The lakes are labeled Oćuša, Crniševo, Podgora, Sladinac, Vrbnik, Sipak and Plitko Lake. The largest area of ​​the lake is the Oćuša. The lakes have a depth 5-34 meters. At the lowest with 34 meters of the lake Crniševo.
