Back to the Light (English for " Back to the Light" ) is the 1992's second solo album by Brian May, the guitarist of the British rock band Queen. The production of this album had already begun in 1987. In the U.S., the album was released with a different cover and there was published by Hollywood Records held by Parlophone.

Details of individual songs

  • Parts of The Dark completed in 1980 during the recording of Queens Flash Gordon soundtrack (recorded by Alan Douglas at Town House Studios ). Excerpts from this item were used in the 1994 computer game Rise of the Robots.
  • Too Much Love Will Kill You, too had been started at the end of the 80 years of Queen, but not published. In a re-recorded version ( with Freddie Mercury's original vocals) released the song on the Queen album Made in Heaven (1995). This version won the 1997 Ivor Novello Award for best song musically and lyrically.
  • Let Your Heart Rule Your Head is a title that he had written and played for Lonnie Donegan album Let Your Heart Rule Your Head (1989 ), which was not published there.
  • The song Just One Life is dedicated to Philip Sayer.
  • Instrumental versions of Resurrection and Nothin 'But Blue were released on the album The Drums Are Back by Cozy Powell.
