Baduanjin qigong

Ba Duan Jin, also called Baduanjin, a sequence of eight Qigong exercises. Literally translated from Chinese means Ba Duan Jin " Eight Pieces Brocade ", the value of the exercises is compared with that of expensive brocade fabric. The exercises are also referred to as the " eight noble exercises " or " eight brocades " in German. The origin of the exercises is to go back to the 12th century, their origin is assigned to the Marshal Yue Fei.

Ba Duan Jin is performed in a standing position and is characterized by a combination of slow arm and body movements, breathing techniques and associated mental images. The movements are typically repeated every four to eight times, so that the total exercise duration from 10 to 20 minutes.
