The rural community Bær (Icelandic Bæjarhreppur ) was an Icelandic community. She lay in the north- west of Iceland in the West Fjords and counted 102 inhabitants (2007). Of these, 25 were living (2007) in the main town Borðeyri. The elongated municipality was on the west bank of the Hrútafjörður. Since 1 January 2012 Bær is part of the municipality Hunathing vestra.
