The Baihetan Dam ( Chinese白鹤 滩 大坝/白鹤 滩 大坝, Pinyin Báihètan DABA ) is a large dam under construction with a hydroelectric power station at Jinsha Jiang, a tributary of the Yangtze River, in the provinces of Sichuan and Yunnan in southwest China. The building will be one of the highest dams of the earth; and it could possibly be measured at its completion, the volume of the building, are the fourth largest in the world and the third largest in China. The preparations for the works are underway since 2010; the building should be completed in 2019 as planned.

The total installed capacity of the hydropower plant should be about 12,000 MW. This makes it one of the five largest hydroelectric plant in the world after the Three Gorges Dam and Itaipu (cf. List of largest hydroelectric power stations of the Earth).

Approximately 67,000 people have to be relocated for the project.
