Baily (crater)

25.68

Baily is the remnant of an impact crater on the border of the Mare Frigoris the north and the Lacus Mortis in the south. Next to the east is the crater Hercules.

Baily was inundated in the past by lava and only the northern half of the crater rim has remained reasonably get. This remnant of the crater rim rises about 500 meters above the surrounding area. The northeastern edge shows a bulge; possibly the remnant of another crater that once Baily overlapped. The crater interior is flat and has no significant impact record on.
