The Ogre (actually Baintha Brakk talked about Benta Brak ) is a 7285 m high mountain in the Pakistan-controlled part of the Karakoram and the disputed region of Kashmir. The name derives from the Baintha Brakk Alm Baintha from the Biafo glacier. The name means Ogre ogre and goes back to William Martin Conway, who invented numerous English names for mountains in the Karakorum.

The Ogre is the highest peak of the Panmah Muztagh, the Baltoro Muztagh the famous northwest upstream group of the Karakoram. It rises north of Biafo glacier between the Firnen Sim gear and Choktoigletschers. Southeast adjacent to the massif of the Latok group.

Access is from Skardu and Askole over the Biafo Glacier to Baintha. From there you can reach through the Uzun - Brakk Glacier the south side and the west ridge of the Ogre.

The first ascent of the force as one of the most difficult mountains in the world Ogre only succeeded in 1977 Chris Bonington and Doug Scott on the west ridge. After 20 failed expedition teams when trying a second ascent. A Second ascent was not until 2001 an expedition under Thomas Huber, Iwan Wolf and Urs Stocker on the south pillar.
