Bair Badënov

Bair Dorschijewitsch Badjonow (Russian Баир Доржиевич Бадёнов; born June 28, 1976 in Sugalai, Transbaikalia ) is a Russian archer Buryat descent. He fights in the Olympic discipline of recurve.

Badjonow began at the age of ten years with the archery. In 1993, he won the title at the Junior World Championships. Three years later he was in Kranjska Gora as a member of the Russian team European Champion in the team competition and participated in the same year at the Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta. In the Summer Olympics 2000, he reached the fourth place in the team competition along with Balschinima Zyrempilow and Yuri Leontiev. For the 2004 Summer Olympics, he could not qualify.

In 2007 he won in Antalya at a World Cup event and was in March 2008 at the European Indoor Championships in Turin Second with the recurve bow. In August 2008 Badjonow went to Beijing for the third time in the Olympic Games at the start. He penetrated to the semifinals, but it lost to the later Olympic champion Viktor Ruban. In the battle for the bronze medal he kept five points difference against the Mexican Juan René Serrano the upper hand.
