Bājíquán

Bajiquan (Chinese八极拳, Fist of the eight extremes ') is a Chinese martial art. " Baji " is just like " Taiji ( Chinese Philosophy ) " an ancient philosophical concept of Taoism, which describes the boundaries of the eight spatial dimensions.

Divine Spear Shen Qiang Li Shu Wen (1860-1934), was in the Qing Dynasty as the founder of the martial art. Give credit to even Huo Dian Ge, Li Cheng Du, Liu Yun Qiao and Zhang Xiang Wu ( 1873-1959 ). The first report about it comes from a Chinese Muslim from the village of Mong in Hebei Province in North China. The current system was originally operated in parallel to the system Pi Gua Zhang ( "Hanging hand edge "). Today, a unified style is taught, they complement the two systems.

Features

The fighters should use techniques to defeat the one enemy with a single blow. Depth positions develop the strength of the legs. This martial arts represents a hard, direct style and is known for its extreme powerful blows. Significantly for this sport is a loud stomping, that is to intimidate their competitors and at the same time develop the internal energy of the fighter. Attacks are performed at close range and with eight different parts of the body: elbow, shoulder, head, hands, feet, buttocks, hips and knees.
