Bajnski Dvori Castle

The Bajnski Dvori Castle (Croatian: Bajnski dvori ) is located in northern Croatia in the area of the village Gornje Ladanje, community Vinica, Varaždin County, about 15 kilometers west of the city of Varaždin away.

It originated in the early 17th century, when the members of the Hungarian- family Bot Bajna of a good set up at this point. A little before this family two Bane of Croatia forth, Ivan Bot ( 1493 ) and Andrija Bot ( 1505-1507 ) had produced. Later, the owner of the castle, the members of several families who were Bacan (Hungarian: Batthyány ) Erded (Hungarian: Erdoedy ) and Festetic.

The castle was rebuilt in the 19th century in the historicist style and expanded. At the end of the First World War in 1918 it was destroyed, partially destroyed and set on fire. The many valuable works of art, books and valuables were damaged, destroyed or disappeared.

To date, only the east wing of the castle has been preserved and is, together with the surrounding park with a lake and a chapel, a dignified complex of architecture and park architecture dar. During the period after the Second World War, until recently, some departments of the General Hospital Varaždin housed in the castle, today it is vacated, neglected and falls slowly.
