Bakegyamon

Bakegyamon (Japanese妖 逆 门) is a manga series, which was conceived by Mitsuhisa Tamura on a concept by Kazuhiro Fujita. It was adapted into an anime television series and is classified in the genres of action, drama and shōnen.

Content

The student Sanshiro Tamon (多 闻 三 志 郎) lives in a small town where little is going on. One day named Fue (不 壊) but invites a stranger to him to a game, Bakegyamon. As Sanshiro agrees he is transported to another world called Gyaku Nihon (逆 日本, " opposite Japan "). In this, children gather to fight each other Bakegyamon. This tournament is held every 44 years and was founded by someone named Hellmaster. In the game, kids monster let them fight for themselves, and who eventually wins the tournament, which is to be fulfilled a wish. So Sanshiro meets in this world many other children, the accommodation needs can be met and want to participate because of that.

Publication

The manga was published from 2006 to 2007 in the Weekly Shōnen Sunday manga magazine the publisher Shogakukan. The chapters were also collected in five volumes out. The manga is based on a concept by Kazuhiro Fujita and contains many monsters from the manga series Ushio and Tora.

Viz Media released the series in English as Bakegyamon: Backwards Game, Casterman she appeared on French and Ching Win in Chinese in Taiwan.

Anime adaptation

The studio Radix produced in 2006 a film adaptation of the manga, directed by Hiroshi Negishi. The artistic direction was Tsutomu Ishigaki and for the character design Tomoyuki Abe was responsible. It originated with 51 episodes 25 minutes each. The first broadcast took place on 3 April 2006 to 26 March 2007 at the stations TV Osaka, TV Setouchi, and TV Tokyo. This was followed by broadcasts in BS Japan and AT -X.

The TV series has been translated into Spanish, Tagalog and Chinese.
