Balboa (lunar crater)

Balboa is an impact crater on the northwestern edge of the moon 's front panel. It lies on the western edge of Oceanus Procellarum, north of the neighboring crater Dalton and southwest of the Wall level of Struve. The rim is heavily eroded. The interior has broken grooves.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1964 by the Spanish explorer Vasco Núñez de Balboa.
