Bale wrapper

A bale wrapping machine is a machine used in agriculture. They packed wilted meadow grass that was previously pressed with a baler in bale form, airtight in PE foil, allowing the fermentation to silage.

Following the winding, the bales must be transported without damage using a bale handler or fork ball.

Technology

The device is usually mounted as a pendant or on the three-point linkage of a tractor and driven by the PTO or hydraulic. Meanwhile, there are also combination units that can compress bales as well as wrap.

Differences exist primarily in the winding unit. Many devices move the bales only minimally about an axis. These have movable winding units that orbit as a satellite around the bale. In the accompanying video illustrates the case in which the bales completely revolves around two axes and the foil arm is firmly mounted.

Especially with round bale wrapping equipment, a device is often installed, which puts the balls on their front side. A rolling and the associated damage to the film is prevented.

Method comparison

Although compared to other variants of the storage (typically a driving, high or Schlauchsilo ) higher costs for winding and slightly more transport costs, but bales are always portable and can be consumed in small batches.

For combined baler wrapper combinations of the changing table can generally be used as a transport unit. Thus always two bales can also be stored in the pressing process, which in turn brings benefits for the later collection.
