Balkhashtsvetmet

The Balchaschzwetmet ( rus. - ПО " Балхашцветмет " ) is a metal- processing plant on the coast of Lake Balkhash, in the town of Balkhash, Karaganda in Kazakhstan in the area. History

In 1928 large copper deposits were discovered by a group led by Mikhail Rusakov Petrovich on the north shore of Lake Balkhash. The operation " PribalchaschStroi " was created for the exploitation of these deposits in October 1931. Its main task was the construction of the combine.
