Ballingeary

Béal Átha to Ghaorthaidh [ ˌ b ʲ e ː ɫ ɑ ː hən̪ ˠ ɣ ᵚ e ː ɾ̥ ˠ hɪɟ ] (Anglicised: Ballingeary ) is a village in the valley of the river to Laoi (Anglicised: River Lee) in west County Cork, Ireland. It covers the townlands of Drom and Ailigh An Chill Mhór and is located in Gaeltacht of Múscraí Thiar (Anglicised: West Muskerry ). The vernacular is as in neighboring Baile Bhuirne the Munster dialect of Irish. Therefore has official status only, the Irish name Béal Átha to Ghaorthaidh.

In Béal Átha to Ghaorthaidh is the Summer College Coláiste Mhumhan. Here spend many students from all over Ireland their summer holidays to improve their Irish language skills while they are housed in native language families.
