Baloch people

The Baloch are a iranischsprachiges people that are native to Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan.

Dissemination

The majority of the total of about 5.6 million Baluchis living in the Pakistani province of Balochistan, with the exception of the seven northernmost districts, about a million in the east of Iran and about 100,000 in the southern and western areas of Afghanistan. In addition, there are Baloch settlement islands in the south of Turkmenistan (Region Marv ) as well as in Oman and the Emirate of Dubai.

Culture

The Baloch speak Balochi and are committed almost exclusively to Sunni Islam hanafitischer direction, next to the also local religious traditions have been preserved.
