Balthazar Getty

Paul Balthazar Getty ( born January 22, 1975 in Los Angeles ) is an American actor and musician.

Life

He is the son of actor and author John Paul Getty III. and his German wife Gisela Getty and the great-grandson of the famous oil tycoon Jean Paul Getty ( 1892-1976 ).

After the divorce of his parents Balthazar moved with his mother and his half-sister Anna to San Francisco. At the age of twelve years, Balthazar was in school discovered by a talent scout and invited to audition for the film adaptation of the novel Lord of the Flies. Although he actually had no ambitions to become an actor, he went to the audition and was cast in the lead role of the young Ralph.

With his friend Shon Greenblatt, he founded a production company and produced the thriller Shadow Hour (2000 ), and various music videos. Getty is a member of the band Ringside, which is known for the song Tired of Being Sorry in Germany.

Balthazar married in May 2000, the designer Rosetta Millington and the couple have one son and three daughters. The couple separated after in July 2008 intimate photos of Getty and actress Sienna Miller had appeared in public. Since 2010, the couple live together again.
