The Bamberg train station is the only passenger station in the independent city of Bamberg in Upper Franconia. Location

The station is located in the east of Bamberg, northeast of the right Regnitzarms. History

The station was commissioned in 1844 as the terminus of the railway line Nuremberg -Bamberg of the Royal Bavarian State Railways in operation. On August 25, 1844 the first train pulled into the station, but officially began operation in October of the same year.
