Bamberger Marionettentheater

The Bamberg puppet theater is a formerly privately owned puppet theater in Bamberg, the founder and principal Loose Klaus has given the city of Bamberg. Currently, the Bamberger Marionette Theatre is operated by the Friends of the Bamberger puppet theater eV and played.

History

The Bamberg puppet theater was founded by Klaus Loose, the previously stage of 1821 recorded in Oldenburg and brought to Bamberg and Bamberg opened in 1987 with the popular play " Dr. Faustus ".

In 1998, Klaus Loose bequeathed his theater in the city of Bamberg, which is the owner ever since. Operator of the Bamberger puppet theater is the "Friends of the Bamberg puppet theater eV", which also recorded the puppet theater on behalf of the city of Bamberg. Theater director is Mrs. Maria Sebald.

Venue

As a venue, the house serves Staubsche ( Lower Sand Road 30), probably built in 1796 by Johann Lorenz Fink. This is reflected in the decor of the auditorium account.

Repertoire and staging

The repertoire includes mainly plays and operas of the Romantic period. Klaus Loose became the director's theater that wants to underline by a transfer into modernity through alienation or timeliness of classical pieces to very distant and tried faithfully to stage.

Original props from the 19th century still be used in part. The Bamberg puppet theater is regarded as the smallest theater in Bavaria.
