Ban Lat District
Amphoe Ban Lat ( Thai: อำเภอ บ้านลาด ) is a district ( Amphoe ) in the central part of Phetchaburi province. The Phetchaburi Province is located in the south western part of central Thailand.
Geography
Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Khao Yoi, the, Mueang Phetchaburi, Tha Yang, Kaeng Krachan and Nong Ya Plong. All are Amphoe of Phetchaburi province.
Economy
In Tambon Saphan Krai is made from the sap of the sugar palm is a famous throughout Thailand sugar, the Nam Tan Tanot ( น้ำตาล โตนด ) prepared.
History
Originally called the county Tha Chang ( Thai: ท่าช้าง ), but was renamed in Ban Lat 1959.
Management
Amphoe Ban Lat is divided into 18 communes ( tambon), which further into 115 villages ( Muban ) are divided.
Ban Lat itself ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้านลาด ) is a small town ( thesaban tambon), it consists of the whole tambon Ban Lat.
There are a total of 14 " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
