Banana boat (boat)

A banana boat, often simply called "banana", is a non-motorized, mostly yellow tug boat in shape and color of an oversized, floating banana. Clothed with life jackets passengers sit behind one another on a central tube, which is sometimes held by two small balance. Due to the good stability of the banana is much easier and safer to use than water skis and surfboards and such a popular leisure option for children especially - can be found in holiday resorts - usually free of charge.

Many large motor yachts have a banana as a toy always on board, but the rubber tube of all motorized boats can be pulled. Most models have space for three to ten people, but there are also double bananas, in which the passengers sit on two tubes next to each other.

The recreational fun arises from the fact that the banana boat to a surprising time is either disconnected or is out in a destabilizing cornering, so that the passengers have to plunge into water and need to climb up for a new attempt on the boat.
