Banatski Dvor ( Serbian Cyrillic Банатски Двор; Hungarian: since 1867 Szőlősudvarnok previously Törzsudvarnok; German: Rogendorf ) is a place in the Opština Žitište in Vojvodina (Serbia). The place was loud census in 2002 1263 inhabitants.

History

The first mention find Banatski Dvor under the name Udvarnok in 1332 This is followed by the mention in the 14th and 15th centuries as Selešudvarnok ' (Hungarian: Szőlősudvarnok ). . Thus, the site ranks in the list of the oldest towns in Banat.

1921 began the migration of Serbian settlers from Trebinje, Bileća and Glamoč. This gave it the name Banatski Dvor.

Economy

The place where there is a large gas supply, which, according to the joint venture founded in 2010 by the Serbian gas company Srbijagas and the Russian company Gazprom was launched in October 2011 and is to be connected to the natural gas pipeline South Stream.
