Bandai (Japaneseバンダイ) is a Japanese toy manufacturer.

History

The company was founded in 1950. Having Bandai has merged in 2005 with the video games maker Namco Bandai is only one brand of Namco Bandai Holdings new company. Namco Bandai and together form the third largest toy manufacturer in the world.

Subsidiaries

As Bandai was still independent, there were several subsidiaries that exist after the merger with Namco continues:

Bandai Visual ( Emotion ) produced ( in part related to Sunrise, Bandai also a subsidiary ) and markets many well-known anime series. These include Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, The Vision of Escaflowne, Mobile Suit Gundam and Witch Hunter Robin.

Bandai America is the American branch of Bandai and manufactures toys for the U.S. market and sells Bandai games as well as many of Bandai Visuals Anime series in the United States over the branch Bandai Entertainment.

Bandai Games produced and distributed video games. Meanwhile this branch of industry went up in Bandai Namco Games.
