Bandar Siyada

Bender Siyaada (or Ziada Bandar, Bandar Ziada, Bandar Siyaada, Bender Ziada, Bendersiyada, Sijada ) or Qaw (or Qoow, chewing, Gau ) is a port city in northeastern Somalia in the region of Bari. Most of the approximately 1,000 inhabitants belong to the Somali clan of Waabaneeye, a Subclan the Majerteen Darod.

The city was once the westernmost outpost of the Majerteen Sultanate against the Darod clan of Wars Angeli, later German Somaliland and Italian Somaliland from British Somaliland.

Since the outbreak of the Somali Civil War, the place between the autonomous Puntland state part and the striving for independence of Somaliland is controversial. In the meantime, also raised Maakhir a claim, but it has been done by connecting it to Puntland.
