Banijay Entertainment

Banijay Entertainment is a group of television production companies with headquarters in Paris.

History

Banijay was founded by a group of investors led by Stéphane Courbit, ex-head of France subsidiary of Endemol, in January 2008. Among the initial investors included:

• Family of Stéphane Courbit
• Agnelli family (among others involved in the auto giant Fiat ) and
• Family De Agostini (among others involved in several publishing houses, on the TV production group Zodiak Media with its German subsidiary Yellow Bird Pictures, the Spanish television station Antena 3 and the lottery company Lottomatica )
• Jean -Paul Bize (including Board of LBO France, former Vice President of Schlumberger, then president and CEO of the gas, electricity and water meter manufacturer Actaris Metering Systems until its acquisition by Itron )
• Bernard Arnault ( LVMH luxury goods group, among others ).

Shareholders of Banijay Holding S.A.S. are:

• LOV Group ( Financière LOV; Investment Holding the family of Stéphane Courbit, in the holding since mid- 2011, the L' Oréal heiress Liliane Bettencourt with 20 % stake ): 49 %
• Groupe Arnault ( Investment Holding the family of Bernard Arnault, she holds directly 73.44 %, 18.08 % stake through the second largest shareholder of Groupe Arnault, the Belholding Belgium, is also the family of the Belgian financial investor Albert Frère )
• IFIL Investments ( subsidiary of investment firm Exor of the Agnelli family): 17.09%
• DeA Capital ( investment firm of De Agostini Group, controlled by the family De Agostini, Boroli and Drago )

• Banijay International is the marketing division of Banijay group.

Denmark

• Nordisk Film TV Denmark: Danish part of Nordisk Film TV, the former television film division of Nordisk Film, which was sold to Banijay 2009 by parent company Egmont.
• Respirator Media & Development: Founded in 2007 as a joint venture by Nordisk Film comedian Omar Marzouk with the Danish, Chris D. Nørgaard Pedersen and Michael; Respirator is specialized in the production of comedy content for TV, cell phones and the Internet. Among the previous productions belonged example, the Danish satire program Tjenesten.

Germany

• Brain Pool TV: Banijay owns 50 %; see main article

Finland

• Solar Television: largest television production company in Finland; Founded in 2008 as a subsidiary of Solar Films.

France

• Air Productions: founded in 1993 by the moderator Nagui. Produced, among others, Taratata, Les Victoires de la Musique, many game shows and other entertainment programs.
• Banijay Productions France: 2008 brought Stéphane Courbit of Endemol France, the producers Alexia Laroche- Joubert and Lionel Vialaneix and the moderator Benjamin Castaldi in this company mainly entertainment and reality shows produced for television.

Norway

• Nordisk Film TV Norway: Norwegian part of the former TV division of Nordisk Film.

Sweden

• Nordisk Film TV Sweden: Swedish part of the former TV division of Nordisk Film.

Spain

• Cuarzo Producciones: founded in 2000 by the Spanish TV presenter Ana Rosa Quintana. Produced so far among other El programa de Ana Rosa for the station Telecinco, the prime time interview show ¿ Dónde estás corazón? on Antena 3, the Fernmsehdrama Herederos for TVE and the Investigativreportage magazine Rojo y Negro on Telecinco. Since February 2012 a long-term cooperation with the German Constantin Entertainment for the production of the first scripted reality series on Spanish TV (planned 30 episodes, is sent from the spring of 2012 in one of the Spanish television channels of Mediaset )

USA

• Angel City Factory: Founded in July 2009, with the producers Chris Cowan and Jean -Michel Michenaud, makers of Temptation Iceland, Joe Millionaire My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiancé and. Have been produced, among others, Secret Millionaire for FOX and the game show Duel for ABC.
• Bunim - Murray Productions: founded by Mary- Ellis Bunim and Jonathan Murray, accepted by Banijay 2010. Produced particular formats of reality TV.
