Baniwa people

The Baniwa are an indigenous tribe in Venezuela and living at the headwaters of the Orinoco in the southern lowlands of Venezuela, adjacent to the Ye'kuana in the north.

They belong to arawakischen language group and have similar cultural characteristics with the Baré Piapoco, Wakuénai and Warekena.
