Banjo clock

The Banjouhr ( banjo clock) is a typical American design of a wall clock that was widespread in the 19th century.

Description

The Banjouhr is a wall clock in an ornate, ornate housing. It got its name from the housing design, which is borrowed from the musical instrument banjo. Most of the watches have no percussion. The type of this clock was developed about 1802 by brothers Aaron and Simon Willard of Roxbury ( Boston) and patented.
