The Russian archaeologist Victor Goloubev 1936 took some aerial photos of the area, which clearly show the temple, the ditch and the bank. Goloubev noticed five other reservoirs that lie on an axis and are all located outside of the trench. In the center there are the shrines of Preah Theat Thom and Preah Theat Toch.
