The Banvit Basketbol Kulübü is a professional Turkish basketball club from Bandırma. Banvit is a regular participant of various European club competitions.

History

Banvit BK was founded in 1994 by the employees of Banvit, a meat company in Bandırma. 2001 join the club on the second Turkish league. Three years later Banvit won the second division and was promoted to the first division. The best result at the national level was the four-time reaching the semi-finals of the Turkish play-offs, of which the last three years (2010-2012) three times in a row. Since its first season in 2005/ 06 in the Euro Challenge Banvit plays regularly with one of the three major European competitions. Here was the best result reaching the round of 16 in the Eurocup 2011/12.
