Banwolseong

From the former royal palace south of Gyeongju today is not much to see. However, the extensive earthworks let the size of the historic site still imagine. 1741 was from an unknown location a cold store moved here, which is probably newer than the Banwolseong. But there were probably older cooling houses of this kind, historical records indicate that they were already 1000 years ago used during the Silla Dynasty. The Banwolseong was recorded in 2000 in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Banwol -seong is located between the center and the main sights nearby Museum outlying. The park-like setting invites South Korean schools, is on the must for the Gyeongju, a picnic and games.
