Banya, Plovdiv Province

Banja (also: Banya; Bulgarian: Баня ) is a town with 3968 inhabitants ( 2004) in the municipality of Karlovo in Oblast Plovdiv in central Bulgaria. The city is located 10 km south of Karlovo and 47 km north of Plovdiv.

The A1 motorway is 40 km away to the south.

By Banja Strjama, a 110.1 km long river that runs through the western Rosental and 15 km east of Plovdiv flows into the Maritsa flows.
