The Banzerbach, called the upper reaches Buxbach, is a tributary of the Swabian Rezat and flows through the market town of Plein field in the Middle Franconian district of Wissembourg -Gunzenhausen.

Course

The source of the Banzerbachs situated on the mountain Buhl, about one kilometer west of Veit Erlbach. Then it is fed by Bachwies ditch. After Ramsberg the river fills the pond prince, also called Veiter pond. Shortly thereafter accrue to him on his right side of Walker Zellerbach. Then the Banzerbach flows past the Pleinfelder districts of St. Vitus, Banzermühle and Langweidmühle, parallel to the main road in 2222 and by the Banzerbachtal. Barely 300 meters south of Pleinfeld it flows into the Swabian Rezat.

Nature and Environment

The Banzerbach has Class II ( moderately polluted ).

The Banzerbachtal is a relatively steeply sloping valley. It is a tributary of the Rezattals and is crossed by several hiking trails. In the Valley of the European beaver occurs.
