Baotou (Chinese:包头) is a prefecture -level city in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. The city lies on the Huang He (Yellow River ). Near the city you can still find remnants of the Great Wall of China today. The administrative area of the city of Baotou has an area of ​​27,768 km ² and about 2.1 million inhabitants ( end of 2004). This gives a population density of 75.63 inhabitants / km ².
