Barbara Korun

Barbara Korun (* 1963 in Ljubljana) is a Slovenian poet.

Korun studied at the University of Ljubljana Comparative Literature and works as a consultant for language at the Slovenian National Theatre. Korun has published three volumes of poetry. A small volume of her poems was published in English translation, some poems are also translated into German. Korun was invited to the European Capital of Culture in Cork in 2005 and in the Ruhr in 2010. Korun is co-editor of the Slovenian literary magazines " Apokalipsa " and " Nova revija ". She is a member of the Slovenian P.E.N.
