Bárbara Riveros

Bárbara Riveros Díaz Catalina ( born August 3, 1987 in Santiago de Chile) is a Chilean professional triathlete who started in 2008 at the Olympic Games in Beijing.

Career

In France Bárbara Riveros takes part in the prestigious Club Championship Series Lyonnaise des Eaux. In 2011 she takes for Tri Val de Grey. The opening triathlon in Nice (24 April 2011), she won the singles competition, the second triathlon in Dunkirk (22 May 2011) Riveros was third behind Andrea Hewitt and Emma Moffatt.

In Chile goes or went Riveros for the Club Deportivo Universidad Católica at the start. Riveros studied at the Medical School of the Universidad de Chile Nutritional Sciences. By 2010 they trained Jamie Turner, until he was obliged by the Australian elite center NSWIS, since Darren Smith Riveros ' new coach.

In October 2013, she finished fourth at the Xterra World Championships ( cross triathlon ).

Bárbara Riveros ' father, Augustin Riveros, is a physician and he it was who inspired Bárbara Riveros from a young age for the sport.

ITU competitions

In the nine years from 2002 to 2010 Riveros took part in 47 ITU competitions and achieved 27 top ten finishes. In the 2011 season Riveros started behind the other with four medals, including silver at the World Championship Triathlon in Sydney and Gold at the World Cup in Ishigaki.
