Barbelthroat carpetshark
The Bartel - Teppichhai ( Cirrhoscyllium expolitum ) is a small Genuine shark from the family of the collar carpet sharks. He lives in the South China Sea between China and Luzon coast, in the Gulf of Tonkin and in Vietnam. There have been sightings off Okinawa, but this may be based on confusion with the saddle - Teppichhai ( Cirrhoscyllium japonicum).

The species is very elongated and slender, and reaches a length of about 33 cm. It bears on the throat barbels, which gave it the name of Germany, and six to ten dark saddle markings on the back. It has 154 vertebrae, 46 caudal vertebrae.
Way of life
The neck band Teppichhai lives on the continental shelf of the South China Sea on the ground at depths of 180-190 m. Little is known about his diet. He is oviparous and harmless to humans.
