Bård Jørgen Elden

Bård Jørgen Elden ( born June 17, 1968 in Namdalseid ) is a former Norwegian Nordic skier.

Career

Elden made ​​his international debut at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 1987 in Asiago. He won jointly with Jon Andersen Trond Arne Bredesen and the silver medal in the team competition. On March 13, 1987, he was in Leningrad in his debut in the World Cup Nordic Combined. As an eleventh reached the points erauf away. Also in the 1987/88 season he scored right away points gains in St. Moritz and Seefeld in Tirol. Elden was established in April 2009 as the successor of Alexander Diess head coach of the Austrian Ski Federation combiner. He led the Austrian combiner team to gold at the Olympics in Vancouver in 2010, and two gold medals at the 2011 World Championships in Oslo. After three years he completed in 2012 his work as a trainer in the Austrian Ski Federation.
